SolidWorks 2010 Rx Lists Incorrect Graphics Card Driver While Windows Device Manager Shows Correct Driver

I recently took the opportunity to upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit. Our IT department installed the latest video card driver (or so I assumed), but after looking at Solidworks Rx, I realized that the video card was not certified by Solidworks. So, I uninstalled the video card driver IT had on my laptop and replaced it with the certified SolidWorks driver for a Lenovo W500 w/ ATI FireGL V5700 (8.641.1.1). Now SolidWorks Rx says still says I have the wrong driver installed even though the correct graphics card is installed and the device manager shows the correct driver. I have attached two screen shots showing the discrepancies. Any ideas why this is happening? Is it a bug in the SolidWorks Rx system, or is SolidWorks Rx reading old Device manager information of the overwritten ATI GPU driver originally installed by my IT department?

Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm running:

  • Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit Service Pack 1
  • Lenovo W500, 4063WH5:
    • Intel Core 2 Duo, T9400 @ 2.53 GHz
    • Bios: Lenovo 6FET64WW (2.12), 3/13/2009
    • SMBIOS Version 2.4
    • 8 GB RAM
    • ATI Mobility FireGL V5700, version 8.641.1.100 (per SolidWorks Certified Driver Page)
  • Solidworks 2010 x64 SP5.0

SolidWorks Rx thinks I'm running ATI Mobility FireGL V5700, version 7.14.01.6063 even though the driver listed in Device Manager clearly shows version 8.641.1.1.

Somebody please HELP!!!!
