Note: This post is not about Windows Vista, but rather VSTA(Visual Studio Tools for Applications)
I'm trying to use the VSTA environment to create and edit C# macrosin 2009 SP01 32-bit. This works fine when I'm logged in as a localAdministrator, but does not work when logged in as a regular domainuser. This is on Windows XP 32 bit.
When logged in as a regular user, saving a new macro as C# (.csprojfile) does nothing. Subsequently, the two VSTA filetype options gomissing from the filetype list in the file chooser for editing orcreating macros. In addition, SolidWorks cannot exit without beingkilled in the task manager.
Again, none of these problems when logged in as local Admin.
Is this an installation problem, or does VSTA require Admin rights? In our organization it's not feasible for domain user accounts tohave Admin privs.
Thanks
