Hi fellow SW users,

Been a while since my last post, but have been asked by a work colleague on the following :

A casting model has been re-created and then inserted a part model to produce the machining features. From the original 2D drawing (see below & attached) there is a view which shows some machining features but also an outline profile of the casting.

So the question is, if you have not already guessed, how can this view be re-produced in a Solidworks 2D detailed drawing? Remembering that the casting has been insert as a part to create the machine part model.

One idea suggested, placing the right view of the casting on top of the right view of the machine part, hiding selected edges and changing the font lines on the casting view. If there is a better way than this, we would like to here from you.
