When I select the "File" pulldown it takes up to 20 secondsto display the contents. If I move the mouse over the Editpulldown, another 10 - 15 seconds to display it, and so forth.

I believe the system is accessing the internet because I've noticedthat any streaming internet connection stops when I select thesemenus.

any ideas as to why this is occuring and how to stop it?
