Hi-

I am practicing my modeling and I come across a part where I can't figure out how it is done. It is a slot that is cut so that the gasket can be inserted to protect from water. the groove is going around the edge from top and down to the front side. So what kind of technique can I achieve this? Please see the photos I took.
