So I'm trying to create a single line diagram with a computer hooked to two monitors and keyboard and mouse and power. The monitors will be connected to the computer through COTS DVI cables. On my single line diagram, if I draw a cable connecting the computer to the monitors, to be the DVI cable, it expects me to assign pins and cable cores and so on. But, as this is an existing, standard, off-the-shelf cable assembly, we will not be building it. Therefore, we don't need that level of detail, or resolution, on the pinouts and wires inside this cable.
So how do I show a COTS cable in my single line diagram without having to hunt down all of the pinouts and wires inside of it?
