I am working on a project and want to run a simulation with a composite material made of high density foam and carbon fiber layers. Upon asking the vendor for material properties, they sent me specs for density, core compressive (strength and modulus), core shear (strength and modulus), flexural properties (strength, modulus, and max load), flatwise tensile strength, and water absorption. To my understanding, to do composite simulation it is ideal to have the properties of each individual layer. Do I have enough information to do an adequate analysis on a structure made from the material? Upon trying to do a custom material in Solidworks, it seems I don't have enough information to run an adequate simulation. Thanks for the help.
