I want to simulate a cable carrier(or cable chain). I tried doing this by using pathmate and mating each link to a path curve.

But the links behave unpredictably in assembly. (see attached picture)

Can anybody suggest -

1. A better way of doing this?
2. Can there be a sketch driven pattern for the links which is dynamic in assembly?

Please help!!
