I'm creating a mesh with a patterned hexagonal cut and I'm trying to find the most efficient way to make the cut. I started by making a two part block that I patterned horizontally both ways to cover the total length of the mesh. One of the things is that this mesh doesn't have a uniform profile, so I must find a way to be able to skip certain instances.
Is it fastest (for Solidworks to handle) if I:
1) Linear pattern my blocks in the sketch to cover the whole mesh then cut extrude, selection each block that fits within the profile?
2) Make a single block cut, then linear pattern the feature so I can select instances to skip?
