I've searched to see if this question has been asked before, but couldn't find anything.  I got a new UPS that has the capability of shutting down software before all the power runs out of the UPS battery.  Is there a way to shut SW down with a UPS?  I run mostly FEA and Flow Simulation models, where the solver crunches for hours, so it would be nice to be able to shut down SW "gracefully" in the event of a power outage.
