I would like to show a section view on a drawing to highlight one thing.  the location of the section is not that important, I just want to show the section to identify an item that is not visible.

obviously I can create the parent view and then create a projected cross section.  but is there a way to get the section and then delete the parent?  deleting the parent view, of course, deletes the section so is there a way to disassociate the two or is there an alternate way to create the section view?
