Hello All,
I have been reading the forums, looking for videos, and playing with the features and I cannot find a solution to this.
I want to take a solid body and turn it into a sheet metal part with no bends, only rips.
As an example, if you were to cut out only flat pieces of metal, butt them together, and weld them.
Ive attached a few example of parts that can be made this way for reference.
Hopefully somebody can come up with an easy way for me to do this.
I tried creating Base Flange/Tabs but the problem is interference.
So far as I know, there is no "reverse" or "opposite" of the Combine feature, and I'm sure that is not even a robust way to make parts like these.
I am using SW 2017 if that is needed.
Thank you in advance for your help.
