Hi Team,
Having issues with my sheet metal calculations.
I have attached an image of the shape that we are trying to achieve.
We have the bent component a multitude of times using different K factors in order to dial in corrections.
For reference
- 2.5mm Aluminum sheet
- 0.8mm top die on CNC press brake
Our closest test component is using a 0.1 K factor and is what the component below is set at.
The dimensions in red are the real life dimensions once the component is cut and pressed to the solid works sheet metal dimensions.
As seen with the provided information the main shell of the component is out by 5mm, while all other dimensions are within 0.2mm of what solid works is providing.
This has been an ongoing issue with our software and has been tested over a multitude of different files.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
