Our IT department has restricted our laptops/pc's to not have local admin for security reasons.  Is there a way to allow the SW Background Downloader along with the service pack update function to work without having local admin to your hard drive?  They are willing to give back some admin if needed for cad programs, but want to keep the vast majority of the computer on lock down.

Are there any other issues with running SW on a computer that does not have admin rights?

Also, does anyone know if there is a way to receive an email update from SW to let us when a new SP is released?
