Seeking tutorials on weldments and multibody parts

Tutorial At my work we’re in the process of changing how we do weldments, and it looks like I’ll need to up my SW game.

We’re using SW 2023 SP5.0. We make a range of fairly big stainless steel tank weldments. The weldment consists of the tank proper (bottom, sides, flanges around the opening at the top) and quite a few additional parts welded to the tank. The individual parts are SLDPRTs, and the entire tank is a SLDASM but not literally a weldment in the SW sense.

I recently had occasion to make a minor rev to a tank that a peer had modeled as a multibody part. Making the rev was simple, but I couldn’t have modeled the tank from scratch as a multibody part. Another peer, whose opinion I respect, says modeling the tanks as multibody parts is fine as far as it goes, but doing them as weldments would be even better, at least in some cases. Of course, it wouldn’t hurt for me to learn both approaches.

So I’m in the market for tutorials on weldments and multibody parts. I’ve viewed some Youtube videos, but they’re pretty short. I also feel a need to be hands on (that’s how I first learned SW), not just watching the show. I think I need a book or ebook, possibly with downloadable files. (When I first learned SW, the files would have been on a CD with the book.) A book about SW as a whole, but with good tutorials on weldments and multibody parts, would be fine.

A search on Amazon brings up a bunch of books. Can anyone recommend specific ones? Thanks.
