I made an assembly starting from another assembly as a reference. I switched some stuff up, went back in the drawing and some the dimensions didn't really update. I knew the part was supposed to be at 9'' of height so when I saw 11'' it got looking. I figured I'd delete the dimension and just redo it.
WRONG, the dimension now displays 10 1/4''. The only way to get the dimension to display at 9'' is to have a point be put at the top of the part and then to take the dimension from this point to the bottom of the I-Beam.
Note that if I redo the section, I don't get this problem.
If you look at the view where the sections are made, I get 9'' on it too.
COUPE M-M = original section. You can see the 11'' dimension that didn't update, the 10 1/4'' that I took afterwards and the 9'' that I took by adding a point
COUPE C-C = new section Displays correctly
This is the second time I've encountered this in my years of working with SolidWorks so I think it might have to do with the way I set some stuff up but I'm not sure..
