The OP had posted a camshaft and valves or a crankshaft and pistons (or maybe all) and couldn't get it to work.

I spent considerable time getting it to work - attached it here and the OP disappeared without comment.

I cover this topic during the Spring semester and thought it made a good example for the class to see if they could figure out how to fix the motion.

The more I type the more I remember how good a learning exercise this would have made.

I thought I had put the assembly in my class folder for future use, but now, months later when I need it - I cannot find it.

Searched and searched...  ...no luck.

I am hoping against hope that someone else remembers it, thought it was a clever solution and downloaded it for reference.
