I'm not able to save macro files.  I've tried all available formats.  I initially thought this was caused by the format.  It turns out  that none of the options work.

I contacted my support agency, but they say since it is a macro, I'm on my own.

Sometimes I get a dialog box warning, other times it just fails silently.  (I have moved the macro location to no avail.)  The first two characters are random.
