I'm wondering if someone can give me an explanation on something. Many times I open an assembly drawing and do not even open the assembly that is linked to it. For example, I'm checking the drawing for someone and signing off on the revision. Sometimes I might alter a note or dimension. When I go to save the drawing file, the "Save Modified Documents" box pops up and lists a group of "documents that have been modified" but I never touched these files. Sometimes a document in the list is totally unrelated to the items on the drawing. There is a check box next to each document in the list that would seem to allow you to uncheck a document, but when I try it does not allow me to uncheck the document. My main question is why is it saving these unrelated files? It takes a TON of time to save some of these and it makes this process very frustrating because it is so slow. I have recently upgraded my machine to the latest recommended workstation and RAM, so its not my machine causing the slowness. The bottom line is SolidWorks seems to be making me save files I should not have to save!!
