I have never used solidworks or solidworks simulation but I would like to expand my knowledge base. Ive been watching videos specifically on solidworks simulation.

I watched one video in which the person added a pretension to a spring element. They then saved the deformed shape as a new part. My question is, When you save the deformed body as a new part are the pretension stresses saved to the part or is the new part only a visual representation of the deformed body?
