AutoDesk recently made changes to their licensing model making it more expensive to use their full AutoCAD product. It is less expensive to use AutoCAD LT and, of course, free to use TrueView, however nether of those products are capable of importing 3D imports as far as I'm aware. Does anyone know if there is a way within SolidWorks itself to save a 3D part and/or assembly directly to DWG format without saving to Parasolid, STEP, etc.? Is there a 3rd party add-on available to do that? Our company can continue to use the full AutoCAD product but it would save on our licensing fees if we could use AutoCAD LT or TrueView instead. I know SolidWorks has Draftsight but I do not know if it has this functionality built in or if it is included with the SolidWorks Premium license. Thanks for all of the help.
