Save, Save As, or Copy in Explorer

Hi, I have a very basic question.  I went through the mold design tutorial and ended up with a part file that contained three solid bodies (Core, cavity, and parting line).  I saved the core and cavity body as separate, new files (as instructed in line with the mold design tutorial). I would like to experiment with some of SW's features using the cavity file, however, I really don't want to mess up my original cavity file (nor the associated file from which it was derived).  I need to create a duplicate, independent cavity file.

Can I use the "Save As Copy" function to create a duplicate cavity file that lives independent from: 1) the file initially used in the mold design exercise, 2) the three body file created during the mold design exercise, 3) and the cavity file saved as a separate file?  Essentially, I don't want changes to my four part files (used/created in the mold design exercise) to alter my duplicate cavity file...and visa versa.  If no, what is the correct approach?

Thanks
