Its my best guess that this would be the section to ask this question in, however if it's not I would be happy to ask it elsewhere if need be. Anyway, Im trying to determine if there is a way that when i go to my part library and drag in certain parts, it automatically gives me a save-as prompt. This would be to avoid the possibility of the library part/assembly being inserted into a workspace and edited , then saved , thus creating issues in all of the models that the part has been used in. If i could get it to prompt upon insertion , the likelyhood of a draftsmen incorrectly handling the part will decrease. Any suggestions?

Just as a disclaimer here, I have pretty much no experience with API , so I apologize if i dont catch on to your answers right away.
