Good morning to you all,
I have a task before me to save all our drawings to PDF. We have a program call PAC (print and convert) which works great for up-to-date files and drawings still known to be linked to their part (model). The dilemma now is we are converting a “whole” drive to PDFs and many of these drawings no long have models associated with them resulting in a blank PDF.
Now that you all know the situation here is my question: Is there a program or a way to create a PDF from the data image generated in SW Viewer, or opening a drawing in Quick View. Each one of those ways of viewing a drawing file does not need a model associated with it; it is solely based on the last saved image. If a PDF can be created by this means it would guarantee a populated PDF rather than a blank one.
Any ideas? Any macros to deal with this? Oh, and it would need to batch as opposed to one at a time creation.
Thanks,
Jim
