I have done and re-done a fairly simple hydraulic circuit about three dozen times so far this morning. Mostly this was adjusting the routing lines to prevent failure of the splines when routing the wires...and I have a long list of complaints about why the routing lines are disastrously counterintuitive...but that's not why I'm here.
I finally got all splines to route correctly and render the 3D hoses as I expected, with one problem:
When initiating the routing, under routing parameters, there is a default 1mm gap between cables (or in my case hoses). I have adjusted this value as high as 100 mm just to produce a visible effect - I have seen none whatsoever. Several hoses are overlapping or intersecting, sometimes winding and crisscrossing several times along a 6 foot run. The routing does not change at all regardless of what I enter for the spacing value. 1mm produces IDENTICAL routings to 100mm, producing overlaps in all the same locations.
There is plenty of space in my assembly to allow for these gaps (maybe not 100mm in some spots but as I said, I was just trying to produce results...any results.
What am I missing?
