We use PDMWorkGroups to control drawing that are both under development and issued. Recently we have come across an interesting revision control issue. I have seen it both years ago with paper (giving away my age). There was an assembly that had several parts, one of which was a part rev A. A second assembly was desgined which just a little different, but used a Rev B of the same part. The first assembly always has to use part Rev A and the second assembly has to use part Rev B. Will PDMWorkGroup understand the different and replace part Rev A with part Rev B?
I realize a better method would be to use different configurations. Rev B could be the addition of the second configuration. We could just change the configuration between the two assemblies. Unfortunately it was not done that way.
Thanks, David Tg
