When replacing component in assembly, is there an option to automatically set the filter to corresponding type of the missing entity when replacing mate entities?

If that sounds confusing, in other words, if I have a missing mate entity with edge and another one with vertex, when replacing those, is it possible to have the entity type automatically selected as filter? So when I'm trying to pick the edge, SW would automatically allow only edges to be selected and then switch to vertex when I'm replacing the vertex entity on another mate?

It's of course possible to filter them manually, but would be a nice feature if it would happen automatically (if it's not possible atm I mean).
