Hi,

i have created an assembly A with inserting a part B. then i saveit in a folder AB.

after that i have copied the folder AB containg A & B and pasteit with name copy of AB.

now when i go to change the part name in the copy of AB folder toother such as B'. then the assembly reference changes to originalpart A in AB folder.

how the references changes to the AB folder. my query is if i havechange the part name then assembly references should remain sameaccording to my thinking...

any one have an idea how to stop this reference lock.SolidworksGeneral
