I'm drawing a gearbox body and all my measurements that I took on the real thing are from floor level. So on my drawing I could use a reference line which is the floor level and then dimension the height of the various features on the gearbox from that line.

Should I use a line marked "for construction" or do I insert and axis from Reference Geometry to do this?

Whats the difference between a reference geometry axis and a construction line?
