Am building a large assembly (with sub assemblies) to the extent that my system lags whenever i need to create a pattern for a subassembly in that main assembly.

Checked my processor usage and it was only clocked at 15% maximum. Am using a W7000 AMD graphics.

Can't solidworks utilize the full processor amount? Or did I spec my processor wrongly? See specs below:

Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit

Intel i7-4770 OC'ed to 4Ghz

AMD W7000 GPU

16GM RAM

Samsung 830 SSD (Plenty of space left)
