Rebuild Error When Creating in Context features in assembly

I have been working on a mechanism in SolidWorks using the top-down approach. SO far everything has gone smoothly. But recently I got the rebuild icon next to some of the features in some of the parts. To solve it I simply pressed the force rebuild button. Upon pressing the force rebuild button the, the model rebuilds with no errors, but the rebuild icons remain. You can see the rebuild icons in the picture below.


The issue only occurs when I create some kind of reference between a part that is below in the assembly tree with a part that is above in the assembly tree. For example, in one case I had created a derived sketch from a part lower down in the assembly with one that is higher up. I just noticed that this happens when I create other in context features like indent and cavity as well. What I don't understand is that the rebuild icon does not appear next to these "troublesome" in context features but rather it appears next to some other random in context feature in some other part that I have created before.
I have tried to toggle the option shown the attached picture below, but it did not help.
