I have a new assembly with new parts that are all saved locally.

Somehow, the parts in the assembly show as "read-only". This is annoying. I want to highlight a part and open it. It opens, but it is read only. Sure, I can force it to save and overwrite the original file. Is there a way to shut this off so I have ownership of the parts within the assembly?

If I go to file/open the files open normally with write access.

I'm using SW 2012 64, SP2.0
