Hey Guys,

This is killin me. I have an assembly with two parts. I want to link a dimension in one part to another using equations. For some reason, every time I try to define a dimension as a particular global variable, Solidworks says that the dimension is "Read-only." This is weird because when I check using windows explorer, the individual files for both the assembly and parts are not read-only. When I go into any other part and assembly I've made I don't have the same problem. I can edit the dimensions when I open the part file separately, just not in the assembly...

I'm not using PDM, but the files are on a server. Again, there are parts and assemblies in the same folder that don't have this problem. I can't seem to find anyone else on the forums who's had the same problem.
