Current work station is as follows,
Windows 7 32-bit SP 1
Intel Core i5 CPU 650 @3.20GHz
4.0GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics
I consistently (70% of the time) get a glitch when opening a SolidWorks Drawing Document. I will first create a drawing by adding the model then dimensions as per normal. Drawing will be fine. I save in both standard SolidWorks drawing document and also PDF. I close the file and re open the SolidWorks drawing document after any given amount of time. The drawing will open but the model will have shifted left or right in relation to the dimensions. At times if working with sheet metal parts only the fold lines will shift in relation to the rest of the model and dimensions. These models are a variety of 3D and 2D and all of various views and details depending on requirements. You can not select the shifted entities nor dimension them. There is however a "ghost" entities where it originally was in the drawing before being saved and closed. These ghost entities will not be visible till you pass the cursor over it at which point it will highlight and allow dimensions etc. to be made however it remains invisible in the drawing. In order to complete changes required I need to delete the model and re load it to the drawing document and re add all annotations and dimension. Time and money down the drain. A request has been submitted for a more suitable work station as I rarely have an issue running SolidWorks 2011 on my 64-bit system at home. Is this merely a system issue or is it software related?
