Please note that this is a repost of a question I posed 2 weeks ago, for some reason it was marked as answered when I am still facing the issue.
As per the title, I am getting poor performance from Solidworks for Makers, specifically when I use the dimesnioning tool. It's pretty frustrating. My PC is pretty well spec'd IMO and my parts are not highly detailed. Below are my PC specs:

apologies for the blurry video, but essentially as I dimension, firstly the tool takes a while to come up and then when I change the value, it is pretty slow to change the figures and then after pressing enter there is a notable delay until the dimension takes effect..
SINCE I first asked the question, I installed SOlidworks onto my MUCH weaker laptop (Ryzen 5 + Integrated GPU + 16gb ram) to test and the problem does NOT occur on the laptop.
