So right now I am in layout mode and sketched some geometry on the screen along with defining most of it and it won't make a block.  I hit the check "ok" icon as usual and nothing happens.   

I have made some other random lines and circles in the same layout and it made of block of those lines and circles just fine, but won't make a block of my other geometry.  What is causing this? 

Another thing I have noticed is that every entity (line circle what ever) is on a different plane in my history tree.  What caused this to happen?  Perhaps this is why it isn't working.
