Random Vibration with Bolted Connectors

Hi guys,

I need to perform stress analysis on a metal chassis which is bolted together. I need to analyse both the metalwork and the bolts under a random vibration PSD.

I understand that the bolted connectors can only be applied to non-linear studies but is there a workaround so I can include the bolts, maybe as constrained structures in the random vib model?

My other approach is to synthesise a time history of the PSD and input that into a non-linear dynamic study but seems like there must be a more straight forward way!?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I also need to conduct Quasi-static load analysis (apply g on each axis)...I am guessing that this is done under non-linear static study?
