Hello all,
I have some mesh models that I would like to reverse engineer into parametric models. I did my research and found this add-on for SolidWorks called Quicksurface. I have installed the add-on and paired it to my SW (2026 version). However, my laptop cannot keep up and is unable to fully utilise SW or QS. The problem is my laptop's RAM is only 8 GB, and the requirement is 16 GB, and also I don't have the correct graphics needed to run QS. I spoke to someone at QS, and they said to try it out, as sometimes the software can work but it will be slow. It isn't working, and I am stuck, and the easiest option is to get a new laptop; however, that isn't possible at the moment. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I was thinking of possibly finding an older version of QS that may be more compatible with my laptop's specs, but I would still like an opinion from the people here.
Another concern is if I do get an older version of QS, will it work with my SW2026?
Please let me know what you all think and what option I have. Thank you.
