Questions Regarding How to Display Cables and Plugs in Solidworks Electrical?

I have a couple of question on how to display cables and plugs in Solidworks Electrical,

1. In the first attached file on this forum, I have a simple set of sensors on a scheme file in Solidworks Electrical. At the moment that is the way our company has displayed our cables/ symbols, I have been requested to try and simplify this process because the way we do it, the sensors have the cables pins colors as text files in the symbol. Is there a way to show which pins and colors get inputted into a symbol in SolidWorks Electrical schematics to help display that information by the possible use of Harnesses, or through the Cables options?

2. What is the best way to display a plug or connector in Solidworks Electrical, in the second and third attached photo, this is what our company has been sticking too as of late (using text and wires instead of features of the "Cables" tab)  I have a brief understanding of using the "Cables Manager," but don't fully understand how to model what's in the picture to what a powerful schematic software like Solidworks Electrical can do. If this can be done only by using a symbol for the plug and wires to the symbol, then that's all I know, but I'm sure there is a better way to do this.

If anyone has experience with either of them or has input on what they do, that would be very helpful!

Thanks,

Carter
