I know the profile mate has been out for a while, but I just recently discovered its benefits and have been using it.  I had high hopes for it, but maybe there are situations when we shouldn't use it?  See below.

I promise that plate fit in the slot yesterday, and then the main Assembly had error messages in the tree this morning because an edge of this plate was referenced in several places.

Should the Profile mate only be used on round edges?   Has anyone else seen this behavior?

I started to delete the Mate and apply my standard three mates to replace it, but decided to try editing it instead.  I saw there's an option to rotate the orientation, so I did that, and it fixed the problem, but for how long?
