Hi everyone,

I have a question on product coding. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best method for coding products? I have come across ways of doing this and these examples have their positives and negatives. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

For example I have come across a coding system where each drawing is labelled numerically using a suffix letter and 4 digits e.g A-2030

Another coding system I have come across is one by where theres a project suffix with a second digit denoting material and the third section being the drawing number e.g

A-2-2030
