Problems installing SW2011 (help please?)

Hey guys,

I have the Student Edition of 2011. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit on a Sony VAIO. When I put the CD in, it autoruns, but when I select Run Setup.exe, a blank Installation wizard comes up and then 6 html files (navpane.html, footer.html, etc) appear. The html files open in Chrome or Firefox or whatever and contain what the installation wizard SHOULD contain, but they don't work. I have searched EVERYWHERE for a solution to this.

This guy: https://forum.solidworks.com/thread/47137 had the exact same problem. He got around it by going into the CD, going into the swwi folder, and running the setup.exe from there. I tried this. It looked like it was working, it installed, EXCEPT, as soon as all of the files were copied and the registry updated, I got a Rolling Back Action and it undid the entire install, leaving me with the message "The Wizard was interrupted before Solidworks 2011 x64 Edition SP02 could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, please run the installation again."

All of this happens just the same with the 32-bit disk as well.

I am going out of my mind, I just want to install Solidworks. Does anyone have any help?

Thank you for your time!
