Hi,
I am new to SW and CFD. I am currently doing the Flow Simulation tutorial for SW Flow Simulation 2009, however I am having problems
attaining the same values as the results in the tutorial even though I follow it completely. I am not sure what I am doing wrong and if this
is common or not. For instance I was doing the cylinder drag tutorial but my results for the smaller cylinder were kind of close to the
values in the tutorial, yet my larger cylinder results was completely off. I am not sure if it is the machine or what since the meshing
should be the same. Any helps or clues would be appreciated. I have only been using SW for less than a month so bare with me.
Some other things is I am running some tests on some valves not from the tutorial to try to figure out the force on the shaft at varying
degrees. I am not sure how to do this properly, I mean I leave computation domain alone, but I set my goals as Force in Z direction,
and I am using 2 pressure BC's because initially I used 1 pressure and 1 flow rate BC's but my results were somewhat alarming.
I do understand that I was calculating them at steady-state but was wondering if there was a better way to do it dynamically since
I want to simulate the valve closing and finding a graph that way. I am not sure if I should go with a transient analysis or not.
