Hello

I have a problem with creating a plit on a surface model. Yes I  know somehow it should not be possible by default as this is not a solid body, but it has been somehow done as I have attached the sildpart and I need to use this approach as well.

If i create the model same way the split is grayed out. 

Please give advice how has it been done so as it attached part file.
