I made a rod with a 1"-8 UNC thread on both ends. Now I need a nut that matches it, so I went to the ANSI Inch and selected an 1-8 hexagonal nut, the problem is that it doesn't seem to match with the thread on the rod.

My doubt is where can I find a nut with an 1"-8 UNC tap. Shouldn't I be looking within the Ansi Inch standars?

P.S: English is not my native language so I'm not very familiar with the technical terms. Excuse me if I mispelled something or made any mistakes.
