Printing issues with HP Design Jet 450C

I have not had to fight with one of these for years and at my new job we have one, so I needed to get it up and running on a new machine with Win7 64 bit running Solidworks 2013 64 bit.

After much searching I found 64 bit driver on the HP forum I bought a Treadnet USB to Parallel 1284 converter cable and it worked the first time.

This morning I got it all configured and guess what?

When I tried to print from Solidworks no text in the dimensions...all the lines are fine…after a session with tech support at Solidworks it seems that the plotter does not support true type fonts, but I found out that is not true as if it prints the test page then it prints TT...also there are people who are having no issues with 2012 using the same setup...I am using the default text.

If you have any options on how to get around this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.
