We make manuals for our machinery. A couple of years ago, we started creating shaded views for our manuals with balloons for the Bom's. For certain machines, we would like to show attachments with HLR so that it is a mix of Shaded with lines and HLR. Normally this works fine, but lately it is becoming a problem. We use SW2010sp2.0. I have the assembly exactly the way I want it, 90% of it is HLR, the portion I want to be highlighting is Shaded. If I do a print preview from the assembly everything looks fine. So I put it into a drawing to add the balloons and bom. It matchs exactly to what I have in the assembly. However, when I do a print preview from teh drawing, some of the parts that are HLR are showing as shaded.
I've went as far as removing all material/appearances from the top level assy, all the way down to the part. I have tried multiple print drivers including pdf drivers.
Has anyone seen anything like this?
I've included 2 pdf files. The one marked "print from Assy" is what I want to see as far as the HLR/Shaded edges. But I need balloons so I have to use a drawing for my view. The pdf marked "print from Drawing" is what I am getting. The only close thing I can do is change the problem parts to be a white color so when they are shaded it looks like it is HLR. But I don't want to have to do that. Sorry for being so wordy.
Thanks.
