I haven't looked into AMD processors much so I'm unfamiliar with their products, but here goes.

Win7 x64

AMD Phenom II X3 Heka 45nm Technology

8GB Dual-CHannel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24)

HP 3047h (XU1 Processor)

ATI Radeon HD 4200 Video Card (Is this an on-board card?)

244 GB Hitachi ATI (SATA)

I don't see Radeon on the list of cards supported by solidworks, and he says he doesn't have any issues except for an occasional "Access Denied" notice when trying to save a file.  After 2 or 3 attempts, he's able to save the file. 

I'm attempting to get a new system, but might burn through my Manager's budget for new hardware for the team (if I can convince him to go with BOXX).

Should we be worried about the above specs for SolidWorks?  I'm not seeing him doing any simulations or rendering.

I am currently getting 'lost network connection' when trying to save files.  We don't use PDM, and everything is being accessed over the server.
