I have been using EPDM for the last 7 years and have used templates to drive document and folder creation but have never used a PDM template to create SolidWorks files. However I am starting to think that there might be some value in doing so. The template enables SW variables to be updated based on a runtime variable in the template such as the "YEAR" variable linked to the Copyright.

I am curious if anyone uses EPDM templates for SW files, if so what are the pros and cons in your experience.
