I have a question on the best way to make a cut inside a part where when the cut

is patterened, it doesn't take forever for the part to rebuild.

I've attached my part file that I'm talking about.

Is there anyway that I can create the parent part to the pattern (cut-extrude1) so that

when I create a new configuration it doesn't take such a long time for the part to rebuild?

I appreciate any help that the experts here have to offer.
